Kacie is an ER nurse and Daniel a pilot, both from Louisville, Kentucky. This was a destination wedding for all guests, most coming from KY and all guests stayed on property at RT.
Kacie + Daniel are both from Louisville, KY and wanted to create a destination experience for their guests. Most of the guests traveled from Kentucky and stayed on property at RT Lodge for the all encompassing wedding weekend. The goal was to create a wintery and magical late winter/early spring wedding. The couple are both from Louisville, Kentucky with the majority of guests coming from Kentucky
The bride’s very specific style was on display throughout the entire event. Earthy and reflective of the surroundings but also with a glamorous, glam touch. She chose a bold red lip, blingy jewels, wore a fur wrap, had a soft feminine dress and animal print mules but wanted the overall vibe to feel like the forest. She wanted the entire weekend to feel cozy, elegant, and comfortable.
When the forecast didn’t cooperate with rain all day, we enacted a last minute rain plan using a tent for the ceremony and reception. We used rugs we planned for the ceremony aisle but pulled those, as well as some from the lodge, to create a very cozy space that included the furniture we planned to use outdoors for the cocktail hour and the reception.
